EXTRA ACTIVITIES

For those looking to do things other than surf, there are plenty of extra activities to keep you busy!

GOLF

Telos 101 boasts the only golf course in Nias province! Our 18-hole course winds its way around the property, offering a challenge for golfers of all levels. Watch out for the sand traps and bring your best putting game, as the greens can be tricky! And, of course, no round is complete without a few Bintangs along the way.

FISHING

Fishing in Telos is an adventure in itself. Whether you're game fishing out at sea, where we have some epic spots, or casting from the beach, you’ll have the chance to reel in everything from GTs, Spanish mackerel, and wahoo to dogtooth tuna and yellowfin tuna. We’ve got heavy game fishing gear on hand, but feel free to bring your own rods and equipment (just pack them safely in a PVC pipe!).

SPEAR FISHING

Spear fishing is another awesome activity many guests enjoy at the resort. For beginners, the sheltered beach on the lee side of the island offers a fantastic spot, teeming with a variety of species. The first 500 meters out stay no deeper than 3 meters, making it a fun and easy swim for those just starting out.

For the more experienced free divers, directly out from the resort, you'll find a stunning drop-off starting just 50 meters out, plunging to 14 meters deep. This area is home to plenty of table fish and stretches about 250 meters along a channel to the waves, offering a thrilling experience for those with some depth under their belt.

PADDLE BOARDING

Telos 101 has SUP boards available for those looking to mix things up and catch a few waves. If you’re after a more relaxed paddle, we recommend our scenic route that starts on the lee side of the resort and winds around the point, ending at the ocean side infinity pool. The journey takes about 45 minutes, making it the perfect way to explore the vibrant marine life and stunning underwater scenery.

THE VILLAGE

Telos 101 is located on Sipika Island, with the local village just 1 km away. It’s a truly memorable experience to take a stroll along the beach and visit the village. With the locals' permission, you can explore the traditional Nias village and, if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of the school in session. The 20 or so students will absolutely melt your heart, and you’ll get plenty of friendly waves from the locals if you cross paths again during your stay!
